William was born September 21, 1916 in Ironton, Ohio, the son of Charles Edward and Eva Jean Gibson Lawson. He is a retired machinist. His wife, Gertrude Evelyn Hagerty Lawson preceded him in death in 1995. Graveside servce Monday, February 1, 2011, 1 PM at Restlawn Memory Gardens in Salem, Oregon.
