Tessie Mae "Simmons" Taylor

Tessie was born in Shamrock, Texas. She held various positions including a self-employed vending business. She then retired from Rainbow Foods in Salem, as a cashier. She was a devoted, loving mother. She was preceded in death by husband Elwood. Survivors include sons, Robert Simmons, Rolland Simmons, and Frank Simmons; 3 daughters, Doris Gutierrez, Dee Gregoire, and Darlene Simmons; and 14 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren and 5 great-great grandchildren. Friends may view Fri., Sept. 11 from 10 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Funeral service 2 p.m. Fri., Sept. 11 at Restlawn Funeral Home. Interment at Restlawn Memory Gardens.
