Teena M.Lewetag (Hughes)
Teena was born in Glide, Oregon to Quinton & Sally Hughes along with her twin sister Deena. Teena moved with her sisters Deena and Cheryl to Oakridge, OR in the 1950's. Teena loved school and left Oakridge in late 1970's to study at LCC. She first started in computer programming but in 1974 she started her journey into becoming a teacher at OCE.
She began her teaching in Polk County and taught at Bridgeport, Perrydale and started with Rita Mongomery "no Nonces school". She retired in early 2000's from the Dallas Schools district after teaching in several schools in Polk county from Kindergarten through Grade 5.
In 1974 she married Ken Lewetag, they adopted their son Zachary Lewetag in 1985 and then 1996 her daughter Jacklynn Lewetag who passed away on May 4, 2016.
Teena passed away Sept. 30, 2025 at her son's home in Albany, where she lived with Zachary, daughter in-law Ashley Lewetag and her grandson Luke Lewetag. Teena loved baking for her grandson and adored the family cat Tinkerbell and dogs Nala and Daisy.
