Ray Ballweber, 71, of Salem, Oregon, was born on August 25th, 1954, and passed away on February 19th, 2026, in Salem, Oregon.

Ray was born and raised in Salem, Oregon, the son of Ken and Hazel Ballweber. He attended Cascade High School, where he formed many of the friendships and memories that helped shape his early life.

Ray was preceded in death by his parents, Ken and Hazel Ballweber, his brother, Duane Ballweber and grandson Taylor Ballweber.

He is survived by his wife, Merry Ballweber; his brother, Dave Ballweber; his children-Lisa (Justin) Lancour, Brandon Ballweber, Justin (Brianna) Ballweber, and Blake Ballweber; and his cherished grandchildren: Landon Ballweber (son of Brandon), and Madison and Brooklyn Ballweber (daughters of Justin and Brianna).

Ray will be remembered for the life he lived, the people he loved, and the legacy he leaves behind. He had a good sense of humor that could brighten any room, and he enjoyed traveling with friends, discovering new places, and making memories with his loved ones. Ray especially cherished the time spent playing games and cards with friends and family, moments filled with laughter and connection.

In his younger years, Ray excelled in sports, particularly football and wrestling, where his determination, competitive spirit, and strong work ethic shone through-qualities he carried with him throughout his life.

Ray's steady presence and joyful personality leave a lasting legacy in the hearts of all who knew him. His love for telling stories and making jokes will be greatly missed.
