Michael Wayne Stevens

It is with heavy hearts and profound sadness that we announce the passing of Michael Wayne Stevens, who left this world peacefully on July 27, 2026. Born on March 5, 1968, in Salem, Oregon, Mike was a beloved son, husband, father, grandfather, and friend. He was a man whose presence brought joy and laughter to all who knew him.

Mike was the cherished son of Sharyl Miller and Gary Stevens, and he was blessed with a loving sister, Cathy. He found his soulmate in his wife, Gingar, with whom he shared 18 wonderful years of marriage. Their journey began when they were just babies, and their love story is one for the ages. Together, they built a beautiful life and family, raising five sons, Jeff, Ryan, Kristopher, Keoni, Zack, and two daughters, Maddy and Jamie. His pride and joy extended to his grandson, Wayne, who brought a sparkle to his eye.

A graduate of Central High School in Independence, Oregon, Mike went on to enjoy a fulfilling career as a millwright until his retirement. Known for his love of the outdoors, Mike spent countless weekends camping, fishing, and crabbing. These adventures were not just hobbies but cherished times spent with family and friends, creating memories that will be fondly remembered.

Mike was a man of great humor, love, and happiness. He had an ornery streak that endeared him to everyone, and his kind heart made him a beacon of warmth and compassion. His family was his world, and he took immense pride in his children's accomplishments and happiness.

He is survived by his devoted mother, Sharyl, his sister Cathy, his loving wife Gingar, his children, and his grandson. He also leaves behind his stepdad, Steve, and numerous other family members and friends who will miss him dearly.

A celebration of Mike's life will be held on August 22, 2026, at 1:00 PM at Pioneer Park in Independence, Oregon. Family, friends, and all whose lives Mike touched are invited to join in honoring his memory.

Mike's legacy of love, laughter, and kindness will forever remain in our hearts. As we say goodbye, we find comfort in knowing that his spirit will continue to guide us, and his love will be ever-present.
