Jose Samuel Cervantes

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Jose S. Cervantes, a beloved son, brother, and friend, who left this world on August 23, 2026, at the age of 41. Born on December 1, 1984, in Salem, Oregon, Jose was a pillar of love and resilience to those who knew him.

Jose was the cherished son of Jose and Calista Cervantes. Though he is predeceased by his dear mother, he leaves behind a legacy of compassion and kindness that will be carried on by his father, Jose Cervantes; his brother, Joshua Brown; and his sister, Calysta Cervantes. The love he shared with his family was profound, and he especially treasured the time he spent as an uncle, bringing laughter and joy into the lives of his nieces and nephews.

Jose was full of life and always surrounded by family and friends, sharing laughs and stories. Jose's relationships were marked by deep love and unwavering loyalty; he touched the hearts of everyone around him. His warm heart and generous nature made everyone feel right at home. He loved being with loved ones, often filling the room with laughter during board and card games. Jose's favorite hobbies were being a scannerist and moderating on YouTube.

MacKenzie Anderson and Jose Cervantes had a one-of-a-kind connection, creating a special bond as high school sweethearts. She was his soulmate, and even though they never tied the knot legally, in their hearts, they were truly husband and wife. Now, they're reunited forever.

Jose's life will be celebrated on September 4, 2026, at 2:00 PM, with a service at Restlawn Memory Gardens, located at 201 Oak Grove Rd NW, Salem, OR 97304. Family and friends are invited to join us in remembering a life so beautifully lived.

Jose S. Cervantes will be dearly missed, but his legacy of love, laughter, and resilience will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.
