John's life was a rich tapestry woven with love, hard work, and dedication to his family and community. He grew up in a loving household and attended Camden High School before furthering his education at West Valley College in San Jose, CA and the University of CA in Chico, CA. John proudly served in the U.S. Navy on the USS Yorktown, where he demonstrated unwavering commitment and bravery.
In 1979, John married the love of his life, Stephanie Strobel, in San Jose, California, where they met while working together. Their union flourished into a beautiful partnership, and together they raised three wonderful children: Patrick, Paul, and Pamela. John was a devoted father who took great pride in his children, instilling in them the values of hard work, integrity, and compassion. As a grandfather, he found immense joy in his grandchildren, Zinna and Xyon, and cherished every moment spent with them.
Professionally, John made his mark as a program supervisor in the electronics industry, earning respect from his colleagues and contributing to the success of his company. His work ethic and dedication were exemplary, and he was often regarded as a mentor to those around him.
John was also deeply involved in his community, serving as an umpire for the PAL (Police Athletic League), helping to cultivate the next generation of athletes. His passion for sports mirrored his love for gardening and woodworking, hobbies that allowed him to express his creativity and enjoy nature's beauty.
John is survived by his beloved wife, Stephanie, his three children, Patrick, Paul, and Pamela, his grandchildren Zinna and Xyon, his sister Gloria, his brother Frank, and his cousin Agatha. He leaves behind a legacy of love, kindness, and a strong sense of family that will continue to resonate within all who knew him.
The inurnment of John will be held on February 12, 2026, at 12:00 PM at Restlawn Memory Gardens, where family and friends will gather to honor the memories of a remarkable man. Although his physical presence will be deeply missed, his spirit will forever remain in the hearts of those he touched.
