Jacqueline May Wilson

June 24, 1932 — May 14, 2025

Jackie, born in Kern County California to Marguerite Evans and Marcus Etchart, was raised in the San Jacinto Valley in California by her grandmother, Marguerite Sanzberro.

Jackie married Gordon Wilson in 1961in Atwater California. Prior marriages were to Hiram Martin Hightower and Ernest Loewen. Jackie and Gordon were meant to be together.

Jackie always wanted a home and children. She was a wonderful home maker and raised six children while helping other moms with daycare and housekeeping.

After moving to Aumsville Oregon, she started her sheep farm. Learning about breeding and veterinary issues she ultimately raised a grand champion sheep at the Marion County Lamb and Wool show in Turner Oregon in1982.

She had an eye for interior decorating and took classes to advance her knowledge. Her home was decorated seasonally with care.

Jackie was caring and accepting of others. She formed deep long-lasting friendships. She found humor in daily life and shared that with others.

Jackie would like to be remembered as the loving, caring, intelligent, and humorous woman she was.

Jackie lost her son Michael Hightower in 2011. She is survived by her husband, Gordon Wilson, and her children; Sherrie Gillis, David Wilson, Jill Loewen, Rodger Loewen and Marguerite Metully; also, her grandchildren; Christopher Hightower, Johnny Weigle, Loren Wilson, Katherine Robinson, Jacqueline Lane, Tracy Haas, Sean Metully and Noelle Metully and nine great grandchildren.

Charitable contributions can be made to Oregon Humane Society where she had volunteered.

A memorial will be held at Coria Estates; 8252 Redstone Ave SE, Salem, OR, United States, Oregon on Sunday June 22, 2025, from 1 to 3:30 pm.
