Helen M. Andrews

Helen Andrews of Salem was an elementary teacher for many years in Klamath Falls and in Oklahoma. She gave hundreds of first graders their start in being good readers. She enjoyed her grandchildren and great grandchildren, doing crossword puzzles, writing letters and NBA basketball, especially the San Antonio Spurs. Preceded in death by her husband,Leo, she is survived by daughter Arlene Pate (Jim) of Salem, her granddaughter Katie Pate of Portland, grandson Andrew Pate (Tiffany), great grandchildren Ainsley, Hudson and Camden Pate all of Gresham, sister Leon Dufton of Oklahoma and her nieces and nephews. Services will be in Oklahoma. Memorial to the public library of your choice.
