In Loving Memory of Lola Conie

Concepcion (Conie) Malinao-Alvarez, lovingly known as Lola Conie, was born on December 7, 1943. She was a devoted mother, a loving grandmother, and a cherished member of her family whose life was filled with love, dedication, and treasured memories.

Conie graduated from Laguna College of Business and Arts with a Bachelor of Science in Education, majoring in Mathematics, around 1970. She went on to teach at Lakeshore High School in Biñan, Laguna, for several years, sharing her knowledge and passion for education with her students.

In the 1980s, Conie made the courageous decision to move to America with her daughter, Azle, in pursuit of new opportunities and a better future for her family. In 1981, she welcomed her son, Rvi, into the world. She eventually settled in Oregon, where she spent many years building a life surrounded by the people, she loved before enjoying her well-deserved retirement.

Lola Conie found her greatest happiness in the simple joys of life. She loved gardening, cooking delicious meals, and, most importantly, spending precious time with her family. Her garden reflected the care and patience she gave to the things she loved, while her cooking brought warmth and comfort to those gathered around her table.

She also treasured the opportunity to return to the Philippines a couple of times, reconnecting with the place she once called home.

Above all, Conie's greatest joy and proudest legacy was her family. She will be remembered for her love, her nurturing spirit, and the special place she held in the hearts of her children, grandchildren, and loved ones. The memories she created, the meals she shared, and the love she gave so generously will continue to live on through the generations. She is survived by daughter Azle, son Rvi, son in law Roger IV and grandchildren Roger V, Broderick and Lilith.

Though she is no longer with us, Lola Conie's love will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew and loved her. Her life was a beautiful reminder that the greatest blessings are found in family, in the care we give to others, and in the everyday moments that become our most treasured memories.

She will be deeply missed, lovingly remembered, and forever cherished.
