This says it all. Not much to add.

Christine Romine from Vandervoort, Arkansas of humble beginnings passed away on August 22, 2025 at her home in Salem, Oregon.

She had one child whom she loved more than life itself.....Janet Romine (husband, Ron Relaford). Janet reciprocated that love with every part of her being. Where you saw one, you saw the other. Ron said Christine was a package deal when he married Janet....a deal he gladly accepted.

Christine was predeceased by her husband (1988), James Hugh Romine, originally of Hatfield, Arkansas.

She leaves behind (besides Janet and Ron)....

Her sister, Maxine Gray of Roseburg, Oregon and her sister, Ina Nell Orrick of Mena, Arkansas

Her nephew, Mac Westmoreland of Mena, Arkansas

Her niece, Betty Hedge of Roseburg, Oregon and her niece through marriage, Janet Shreve of Mena, Arkansas

Several nieces and nephews in Arkansas, Florida and Texas

Many friends from UKEphoria (a ukulele class taught by Janet and Ron)

Close friends Char Norby, Darlene Austin, Dottie Hauser, Howard Purkerson, Joan Seitz, Larry Roloff, Sharon Kinney and Shirley Miles

Doug Gray, who kept her "pretty" when she moved to Salem from Roseburg, Oregon

Christine was treated with compassion and unwavering attention from Dr. Albin, Dr. Gillespie, wonderful staff at Salem Health Hospital, and amazing nurses her last two weeks of life through Willamette Vital Health hospice. Thank you all for touching Christine's and Janet's/Ron's lives in ways that cannot be expressed.

To my little Mom.... "Rest in peace. Your 2 ½ year lung cancer battle is over. You were an inspiration. You never gave up hope. I love you, Mom! Janet"

No funeral service. Christine was able to attend and to enjoy her own "Celebration of Life" on August 1, 2025 at Senior Center 50+ in Salem, Oregon.

Interment: Roseburg Oregon Memorial Gardens.....1:00pm on Friday, September 5, 2025. There will be a graveside farewell delivered by Janet and Ron.
