Cathy Marie Middleton

With heavy hearts and deep love, we announce the passing of Cathy Marie Middleton, who left this world on June 1, 2025, at the age of 63. Born on May 23, 1962, in Salem, Oregon, Cathy brought warmth and joy to everyone she encountered through her radiant smile, infectious laugh, and unwavering kindness.

Cathy was raised in Salem by her parents, Sherry and Donald Lynch, alongside her brothers Kenneth and Kevin. She attended Englewood Elementary, Parrish Middle School, and North Salem High School, and later pursued studies at Chemeketa Community College and Northwest Trade School.

Cathy met the love of her life, Ronald "Ron" Middleton, at a Dairy Queen while spending time with friends. The two were married on September 7, 1984, beginning a life together full of laughter, family, and shared memories. Cathy's career was rooted in service and community, from her early roles at local eateries to her long-standing position at the Keizer Elks Lodge, where she worked for over three decades as a bartender, payroll clerk, and office manager.

Above all, Cathy found her greatest joy in family. She is survived by her loving husband, Ron; son Brad Middleton; daughter Kristin Underwood and son-in-law Todd, and their sons Ethan and Caleb; and daughter Marissa Greenway and son-in-law James, and their daughters Madelyn, Mia, and newborn Meadow. She is also survived by her brother Kenny Lynch. Cathy was preceded in death by her parents, Donald and Sherry Lynch, and her brother Kevin.

Cathy cherished life's simple pleasures, drives to enjoy the scenery, watching Christmas lights, visiting the beach to hear the waves, going to the casino, and playing bingo or cards with loved ones. She had a fondness for bright colors, especially fuchsia flowers, and her favorite time of year was marked by Hallmark Christmas movies and time with her grandchildren.

Cathy will be remembered for her kind heart, joyful laugh, beautiful smile, and the wisdom she shared freely. She lived life with gratitude, humor, and grace, and she offered her warmth to all who knew her.

A Celebration of Life will be held at the Keizer Elks Lodge on June 26th from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm. All who knew and loved Cathy are welcome to attend and honor her beautiful life.

She leaves behind a legacy of love and the memory of a smile that could brighten anyone's day.
