Arlene Wiege

Arlene was born on May 13, 1932 in Elgin, North Dakota to Matilda (Taran) and Albert Roth and passed away on September 12, 2025 in Salem, Oregon at the age of 93.

She is survived by her sons, Virgil Wiege (Lynelle) of Salem, Oregon, Lonnie Wiege of Salem, Oregon; daughter, Karla McCracken of Keizer, Oregon; stepdaughter, Linda Horton (Gary) of Brownsville, Oregon; and stepson, Wayne Wiege (Shawn) of Portland, Oregon. Arlene was preceded in death by her first husband, Edwin Wiege in 1988, and her second husband, Michael Wiege in 2025.

She and her husband, Michael A. Wiege, had a combined family of 12 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren, 1 great-great grandchild, and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Arlene worked at Roth's IGA as a checker for 23-years. Prior to that, she spent her summers working in various canneries. Once retired, Arlene and Mike spent time traveling in their motor home across Oregon with their Motor Home Club. She also enjoyed having lots of flowers in her yard and canning fresh fruits and vegetables.

Arlene will be laid to rest at Restlawn Memory Gardens on Friday, September 19, 2025 at 1:00 PM.
